Already feels bigger. Note: I did not make the hole in the giprock around the plumbing. Done when they put in the shower (70s?). Cut away half the stud to bring the piping over 🤣😳. Can also see the roof line there.

Day 4: Revealed inside roof, removed mirror, tore out cupboard behind the toilet. Only one length of giprock left to go then the shower stall base will come out. Shower plumbing is... interesting... also bent. (Not from me) 😂 #pandemicproject2 #pandemicbath

Day 5 (Saturday): Ripped out sink. Yellow adhesive is discolouring the flooring from below. In order to facilitate bathtub plumbing we're going to rip out the sub floor and start over. Will replace the insulation too. Also replaced our HW tank this week!

Day 7?: another #pandemicbath #pandemicproject2 update! There has been a lot of pondering of next steps. But after lifting a layer of plywood to get a better look at the original floor and plumbing I think we are still go for the full vision! Video explainer next!

More than a month later and finally got to Day 8 on the #pandemicbath #pandemicproject2
Got a sweet nailpuller from @Brouillardesque which, with the help of a magnet, made quick work of the nails holding the plywood down. Toilet out! Next up, discovering the subfloor!

Day 10 (month 5? 😂) #pandemicbath #pandemicproject2 update! Had to take off the door frame to get it in but HEY LOOK GUYS! The new bathtub 🛀 fits!!
Getting the final rough measurements so the plumber can come in and reorganize! Feeling like we are nearing the halfway mark!

We are at the most expensive part so going slow. The next major new item will be the window. We have settled on only enlarging the height of the existing window to 52-56”. Need to get that ordered this week so my BiL can make the opening and install it before the rains come!

    #pandemicbath update!! The new window has finally arrived! The weather looks like it will cooperate on the weekend so hopefully we'll have a new bigger window to show you by this time next week!

    Plumber hopefully a couple days later to do the rough-in! Then comes electrical!
